From a young age, art was always Ava’s favorite class. In elementary school, she would spend her recess in her art teacher’s room and was always eager to learn and create more. It wasn’t until her senior year of high school that she discovered her dream of being an artist could become a sustainable reality. Her love for storytelling, art, and organization landed her in the world of design. She graduated from the Herron School of Art + Design in 2023 with a degree in Visual Communication Design. Ava’s favorite aspect of design is the unique experiences and variety of stories she gets to be a part of. She also loves learning about different cultures and life experiences of others and sharing her research through design. Some of her favorite experiences include her internship at Firefly Children and Family Alliance, where she got introduced to the world of nonprofit organizations. Her favorite projects include social media and album cover designs for the podcast ‘Reconsider Everything’ which analyzes the gaps in American education, and an interactive storytelling piece that tells the story of an immigrant who survived WWII in Germany. When Ava clocks out, you can find her at home watching her favorite Youtubers or a true crime documentary. She also enjoys playing Stardew Valley, reading, shopping, and cooking for her family!
